There is one public school district (Greencastle-Antrim School District) that provides education K-12. There are over 3000 students that attend. Information about the district can be found at

Shalom Christian Academy is a private school located in Antrim Township.

Educational opportunities exist before and beyond K-12, starting with pre-kindergarten at the Greencastle Learning Center, an active member of Keystone STARS Early Childhood Program, or at Shalom Christian Academy’s Growing Tree Preschool offered at five satellite locations.

Penn State’s Mont Alto campus offers five bachelors and eight associates degrees, and is a springboard for students to complete one of the system’s more than 160 majors at other Penn State locations.

Shippensburg University enrolls more than 7,000 students in 100 undergraduate and 57 graduate degrees and ranked among the top 100 universities in the northeast in U.S. News & World Report for 2015.


Greencastle-Antrim has a number of civic clubs, youth sports groups, and non-profits providing opportunities for volunteerism for all ages.
