Lights of Love

Purchase a Lights of Love to in honor or in memory of your friends and family by November 13. The Lights of Love scrolls in the windows of local businesses from November 22 to January 1.

Heritage Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Formal tree lighting ceremony will be held in the Square
on November 22 beginning at 7 pm.

LIGHTS OF LOVE

Community members are invited to honor their loved ones this holiday season by dedicating lights on the Heritage Christmas tree in the Greencastle square!

Purchase a light for just $8 “in celebration” or “in memory” of a loved one, and their name will be listed on scrolls displayed in the windows throughout the Christmas season at the Cumberland Valley School of Music and Fran Kenawall State Farm office in the square.

HERITAGE CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

On November 22, get in the holiday spirit with the official tree lighting sponsored by Patriot Federal Credit Union.

The community is invited to gather in the square for the ceremony that starts at 7 p.m. Join in the singing, with Song Books sponsored by Herald Mail Media/LocalIQ.

Bells sponsored by Antrim Way Honda will be distributed for ringing, as the tree lighting ceremony concludes with the magical lighting of the tree by the Lights of Love.

The tree is sponsored by Antrim Township and the Borough of Greencastle. Decorations are sponsored by Premier HVAC Services.

COMMEMORATIVE ORNAMENT

The 2024 Greencastle-Antrim Heritage Christmas ornament will soon be available! This is the third in the series to feature a local church.

Ornaments are $20 and cash or check are accepted. Ornaments are available to pick-up at the G-A Chamber, Lumber Direct, and the shop.

HERITAGE CHRISTMAS IN THE SQUARE

Continue a family tradition, or start a new one by joining in Heritage Christmas in the Square! Stroll through downtown Greencastle and enjoy the tree in Center Square, entertainment, giveaways and tasty treats from local community groups, food vendors and more! Held 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night, click the date below for details on each event:

Get a balloon creation from Uncle Bean, and Photos with Santa sponsored by F&M Trust, visit the Holiday House sponsored by Lumber Direct, mail your letter in Santa’s Mailbox sponsored by Corning Credit Union, and shop local stores to find the perfect gift! Entertainment sponsored by Middletown Valley Bank.

LETTERS TO SANTA

Write your letters to Santa and have them posted in the bright red Santa’s Mailbox, sponsored by Corning Credit Union.

Drop off your letters in the mailbox, located in the northeast corner of the Square near E.L.M. Department Store and ELM Shoes, by Sunday, Dec. 15.

If you include your address, Santa’s helpers from Corning Credit Union will write you back!

HORSE & WAGON RIDES

Enjoy a ride around town in a horse-pulled wagon during Heritage Christmas in the Square on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13. Rides run continuously between 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

LIGHT IT UP

The Light It Up house decorating contest is back! Residents in the Borough of Greencastle and Antrim Township are invited to enter the contest for the community to view their displays of lights and decorations! Register by November 30 to be included on the Route!

The Route will be shared, so the community can view the displays and decide the winner based on popular vote (open December 1-20); vote for your favorite house by contributing $1, which will be donated directly to the Greencastle-Antrim Food Pantry.

SCAVENGER HUNT

November 17 to December 31

Primary & Elementary school-aged student can win prizes when they complete the Scavenger Hunt for items related to Santa’s Workshop. The images of the items are in the downtown business windows. Download the scavenger hunt listing here or stop by the Holiday House during Tree Lighting or Heritage Christmas in the Square.

Return the completed form to the Holiday House or the Chamber and collect your prize. Prizes awarded until December 29.
