Sen. Judy Ward is hosting a “Virtual First Responders Workshop” via Zoom on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM. Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioner Bruce Trego will provide an update and take questions from the audience.
The workshop will provide information on recent changes to emergency response laws and regulations, offer strategies to find federal, state, and foundation resources, help connect with potential funders, and offer tips for successfully applying for grants. Participants are welcome to ask questions about current or future projects your organization is considering.
As part of the workshop, you will receive a reference manual that contains a comprehensive listing of Commonwealth grant programs and important contact information. An electronic version of the manual will be distributed to each participant at the start of the event.
There is no charge for the workshop, but pre-registration is mandatory. To register for the workshop, visit https://senatorjudyward.com/
Recent legislation includes federal grant programs to assist our small businesses recovering from COVID-19. Such programs include the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant and the Restaurant Revitalization Fund; businesses need to be registered in the Systems of Awards Management (SAM.gov) to apply. Join SBDC to learn how to register so you’ll be prepared to apply for the grants when applications open.
